Loy Vernon "Dickie" Watson, Jr.

Loy Vernon “Dickie” Watson, Jr., 43, of Green Cove Springs, FL, went home to be with the Lord on November 20, 2013. He was a native of Jacksonville and was born to parents, Loy and Bettie (Lee) Watson on July 23, 1970. He was a heavy equipment operator and engine mechanic and a member of the Congregational Holiness Church in Green Cove Springs. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara “Barbie” Marie Mellette-Watson, and his mother, Bettie Lee Watson. Mr. Watson is survived by his father, Loy Watson, Sr.; son, Earl James Joseph Dorman; sisters, Sarena (Wesley) Pringle and Veronica Wright; niece, Stacie Lee Pringle and nephews, Steven Wesley Pringle and Gavin Marshall Wright. The family will receive friends at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 24, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 25, 2013 at the Congregational Holiness Church, 2079 Florida 16, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043 with Reverend Ronnie Surrency officiating.
