Frank Marion Roberts Jr.

Frank Marion Roberts Jr., 72, of Monticello, FL went to be with the Lord on December 1, 2013, peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Green Cove Springs, FL to parents Frank and Ida Belle (Bryan) Roberts. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lloyd, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Clarice Downing Roberts and brother, Dale Roberts. He is survived by his son, Frank III (Angie); daughters, Melissa Thompson (Perry) and Linda Hartson (Tim); step-son Stanley Clark (Connie); brother, Ronald Roberts (Barbara); sisters, Carolyn and Cathy Roberts; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He will always be remembered for his love for animals especially cows, working with them most of his life. He was the owner of Hyrest Dairy in Tallahassee, FL for over 20 years and associated with dairies in Okeechobee and Ft. Pierce, FL. He was also a licensed cattle breeder and was known for his ability to BBQ, owning Roberts Backyard BBQ. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at the Broadus-Raines Chapel with his pastor, Reverend George Smith officiating.
