William Bruce Carter

William Bruce Carter, 48, of Middleburg, FL, passed away Monday, June 9, 2008. He was born on January 21, 1960 in Jacksonville, FL to parents, Wilbur and Nancy Carter. Mr. Carter worked as a foreman for W.W. Carter Contracting for over 30 years. He loved his job and loved the work. He was a graduate of Clay High School and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching baseball and football. He was a good and loving husband and father who cared for his family. Mr. Carter was of the Baptist faith and will be dearly missed by his family and many friends. Survivors include his parents, Wilbur and Nancy Carter; his loving wife of 25 years, Sherrie Ann Carter; children, William Keith Carter (Amanda Diane) and Benjamin Carter; brother, Joseph Walden Carter; sister, Donna Lynn White; in-laws, Dr. Carl and Judith Guill; nephews, Chase and Cody Carter and niece, Caitlyn White. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, June 13, 2008 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Russell Baptist Church with Reverend Ron Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery.
