Edward H. Dabbert, 75, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away December 10, 2013. He was born on September 10, 1938 in Chicago, IL to parents Edward and Marie Banks Dabbert. Mr. Dabbert was a Vietnam War Veteran, retiring from the United States Air Force. He had lived in the local area since 2001, moving here from Opelika, AL. He was a member of Pinewood Presbyterian Church in Middleburg as well as the VFW and DAV. He loved to fish, travel, do yard work and to be with his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his wife, Eun Ok “Jeannie” Dabbert. Survivors include his sons, Charles R. Chung (Elaine) and Edward H. Dabbert, Jr.; daughters, Eunice D. Howard (Rick) and Kim M. Jackson and grandchildren, Caleb Chung, Rachael Ceballos (Rafael), John Howard, Seth Howard, Anthony Richardson and Andrew Jackson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, December 13, 2013 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Pastor Ren Zepp officiating. Visitation with the family will be in the chapel from 1:00 pm until service time. Full military honors will be given at the service. Interment will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, December 16, 2013 at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
