Dorothy "Dot" Taylor

Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Taylor of Orange Park, FL, passed away peacefully in her home, Thursday, December 26, 2013. She was born on July 12, 1930 in Thomson, GA to parents, Sterling and Florence Clark Padgett. Dot loved fishing, painting and doll making, cherishing the simple things in life. She was a wife, mother and Big Mama, who devoted and dedicated her life and love to her friends and family. All who knew and loved Dot will dearly miss her. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Tami J. Asprea. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 wonderful years, Leon Taylor; children, Cathy Taylor (Glenn), Michael Taylor (Debbie), Matthew Taylor (Ruby), Barbara Taylor, and Marilyn Aceves (Robert); sister, Billie Jean Thompson; 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. A visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2013 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Dr. Tim McDaniel officiating. Interment will follow in Jacksonville Memory Gardens.
