Stacey Renee Peternel, 37, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away in a tragic accident on Saturday, December 21, 2013. She was born on March 24, 1976 in Topeka, KS to parents Thomas J. Peternel and Linda K. Murphy. Stacey has been a resident of Green Cove Springs for the past 28 years and graduated from Clay High School. She served her country honorably in the United States Marine Corps and after her discharge she attended St. Johns Community College where she obtained her nursing degree. Stacey will be deeply missed by all her loving family and friends. She was predeceased by her father, Thomas J. Peternel and is survived by her mother, Linda K. Murphy; 5 children, Joshua Pollock 18, Olivia Peternel 9, Drew Arredondo 3, Rudy Arredondo 2, 8 month old Victoria Arredondo; fiancé, Rudy Arredondo; sisters; Melanie Sparrow (Lawrence) and Angela Bean (Tim); nephews, Lawrence Sparrow, Jr., Lendre` Sparrow, Jr., Landis Sparrow, Vincent Bean, Aiden Bean and Evan Bean; aunt, Susie Hull (Michael) of Gulf Breeze, FL; special cousins, Donald Murphy, John Murphy and LaSha Hull and many more aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, December 30, 2013 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Reverend Russell Franklin officiating.
