Bertha Helen Underwood

Bertha Helen Underwood, 92, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2013. She was born on September 21, 1921 to parents William and Cora Davis Roberts. Mrs. Underwood had been a receptionist for Special Services at NAS and had lived in the local area since 1956. She was a member of The First United Methodist Church of Green Cove Springs, FL were she enjoyed singing in the choir. Mrs. Underwood loved clogging and dancing and being with her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Robert Alton Underwood, Sr. She is survived by her children, Beverly Marstellar (William), Sandra Hesterlee (David) and Robert Alton Underwood, Jr.; grandchildren, Melinda (Kirk), Sheri Fisher (Larry), Steven Marstellar (Catherine), Sharon Hesterlee (Scott Marchand), Craig Hesterlee (Nadia Kounang); 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great- great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, January 3, 2014 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Dr. Tim McDaniel officiating. Interment will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 4, 2014 in Pearson, GA in the Sweet Water Church Cemetery. Please sign the family’s online guestbook at www.broadusraines.com.
