Annie Rose Harris Kent

Annie Ruth "Rose" Harris Kent, passed away January 8, 2014 in Orange Park, FL at the age of 85.She was born on March 16, 1928 in Liberty Hill, AL to parents John and Vertia Hatley Harris. Rose worked for Terri Pines Country Club retiring in 1994. She loved to read, work puzzles and be around family and friends. She became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose in November 1963 when she joined Cullman, Alabama Chapter #1318. She received Academy of Friendship degree on May 7, 1967 and College of Regents degree on June 12, 1971. She was the Deputy Grand Regent for the state of Alabama 1977 – 1978, a member of the 25 Club. Rose sponsored 33 members in her lifetime. Rose came to Moosehaven on June 18, 2002 where she has resided for 11 years. She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Shedd of Cullman, Alabama, sons Danny (Dawn) Kent of Cullman, Alabama and Gregory (Clara) Kent of Cullman, Alabama. Grandchildren, Shane(Shawn) Kent, Brock Kent, Justin Kent, Heather Sellers, Christina Martin, Ashley Rose Kent, Brittney Tucker, Jesse Hagood and 11 great grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren, five sisters and one brother. Funeral Service were held on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 10:00am in the Moosehaven Chapel with Rev. Helen Taylor and Opportunity Chapter officiating.
