Our much-loved daughter, sister and mother, Roberta “Nadine” Kennedy, age 54, died suddenly in Green Cove Springs, FL on January 5, 2014. She was predeceased by her father, Robert Kennedy and is survived by her sons, Jnani Shawn Butler and Shane Butler, and daughter, Sara Butler, her mother, Alice Kerrigan, and stepfather Joe Kerrigan, of Green Cove Springs, and sisters Alisa (Kennedy) McElhenny of Austin, TX, Chris (Kennedy) Yadeski of Erie, PA, and Karen Kennedy of Pompano, FL. Brothers in-law, Pat McElhenny and Tom Yadeski, and six nieces and nephews. A 1977 graduate of Academy High School in Erie, she was a talented writer/editor who spent 24 years developing and writing content for training and teaching for the Syda Foundation in South Fallsburg, NY. She then moved to New York City and worked as an editor for Scholastic, Inc. In Recent years she was employed as a chief communications officer and assistant to CEO for G-2 Tech and Wish, Inc. Nadine traveled extensively and was involved in many important events such as the roll-out of British author, J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series, and also coordinated the Dalai Lama’s visit to America in 2010. She was known by all who loved her for being selfless, caring and kind.
