Melissa L. Sledge West

Melissa L. Sledge West, 51, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away January 14, 2014. She was born on November 17, 1962 in LaGrange, GA to parents Ted and Peggy Gayle Binkley Sledge. Mrs. West had worked as a bank teller and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and is survived by her mother, Peggy Gayle Sledge; former husband, Roy Neal West; children, Amanda Ransom and Lindsey West; sister, Priscilla Sledge and grandchildren, Christopher Cardwell, Lucas Cardwell, Callie Cardwell, Jacob Ransom, Benji Ransom and Elliott Davis. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, January 17, 2014 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Rev. Sam Bennett officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Morocco Shrine Transportation Fund, 3800 St. Johns Bluff Rd. S., Jacksonville, FL 32224.
