Beth Ann Salazar

Beth Ann Salazar, 49, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2014. She was born on November 4, 1964 in London, KY to parents Douglas G. Jones and Lou Ann Ramsey. Beth moved to Clay County in 1982 and was a member of Christian Fellowship Church. She was a Girl Scout Leader and score keeper for her daughters softball games for many years. Beth loved the outdoors where she enjoyed hunting and gardening. She was a loving wife, wonderful mother and a friend to all. She was preceded in death by her father, sons, Paul Douglas and Nathan Salazar and sister-in-law, Lydia Owana Salazar Hunter. Beth will be dearly missed by all of her loving family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Charles M. Salazar; mother, Lou Ann McElvain and stepfather, Paul McElvain; daughter, Kaila Ann Salazar; brother, Steven Jones (Jill); father and mother-in law, Reverend Paul and Bobbie Salazar; step sister, Teri McElvain sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Phillip Cochran; brother-in-laws, Tommy Salazar and Duane Dyal; uncle’s, Larry Jones (Shirley), Bobby Jones, Kenneth Ramsey (Kathern) and Keith Ramsey (Dean) as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday, January 24, 2014 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Paul Salazar and Pastor Nelson Wiley officiating.
