Jean Knippers, 83, of Middleburg, FL passed away June 25, 2008. “Nana,” as she was affectionately referred to, was born to Wirt T. and Avie Gaddis on September 29, 1924 in Marthaville, LA. She lived in Louisiana for most of her life and worked as a Registered Nurse. Later, she lived in Colorado for four years before coming to Florida six years ago. Nana was a member of First Baptist Church of Middleburg and loved nature, fishing, and feeding the squirrels. She also loved to play cards and watch Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Survivors include: her son, Douglas Knippers; nephew, Gil (Gail) Box; dear friends, Jake and Gloria Segura; six grandchildren: Michael, Vaughn, and Christopher Knippers, Michael (Jaqui) Segura, Elizabeth Segura, and Lisa (James) Beam; and seven great grandchildren: Dayton, Cadence, Jalen, Morgaine, Bronte, Diamond, and Romeo. Memorial services will be held at First Baptist Church of Middleburg in the Prevatt Chapel on Monday, June 30, 2008 at 11:00 am officiated by Dr. C. Alan Floyd.
