Cynthia "Cindy" Ann Cardosi

June 12, 1957 — July 2, 2008

Cynthia Ann (Cindy) Cardosi went to our Father in Heaven Wednesday, July 2, 2008 following complications from Fronto-temporal Dementia. She was 51 years young. Cindy was born in Baltimore, Md on June 12th 1957 and moved with her family at a young age to Annapolis, Md where she met her future husband, Jim in 1974. Jim and Cindy were married in the Naval Academy Chapel on December 17th 1977. Cindy devoutly supported her husband during his 28 year career as a Navy pilot, and was a totally devoted mother to their five wonderful children. A caring and loving Christian, Cindy was a Registered Nurse who specialized in Pediatric Care, and particularly enjoyed her work on the staff of the Family Care Center of Arlington in Jacksonville, Fl. Cindy is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Jim, a retired Navy Captain, and children, LT James M. (Jesse) Cardosi, USN, of Alexandria, Va., Nicole M. Cardosi of Reston, Va., a Human Resource specialist with the Kimley-Horn Company, 2nd Lt Joseph M. Cardosi, currently assigned to Fort Sill, Oklahoma, Michael A. Cardosi, a senior at Florida State University, and Jennifer E. Cardosi, a freshman at the University of Florida. Cindy is also survived by her parents, Charles A and Evelyn Merson of Annapolis, Md, a sister, Melanie Ann of Annapolis, Md, and a brother, Charles A. Merson, Jr., of Laurel Delaware. Cindy was a beacon of unselfishness and unconditional love in all aspects of her life. She lived by deeds, not words, and demonstrated everyday her Savior’s commandment to “Love One Another As I Have Loved You.” “Only the good die young.” Inurnment will be at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests contributions be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, Fl 32257.
