John W. "Jack" Stuckey

John W. “Jack” Stuckey, 86, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away February 20, 2014. He was born on January 29, 1928 in Rhine, GA to parents John and Dora Belle Hardy Stuckey. Mr. Stuckey served his country as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division of the Army Air Corps. He had worked as a Maintenance Supervisor and had lived in the local Green Cove Springs, FL area since 1963, coming here from Dublin, GA. He was a Shriner and a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association. Mr. Stuckey was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church and will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Hardy and Gene Stuckey and his sister, Anna Belle Stuckey Douglas. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Bonnie F. Stuckey; sons, Skeeter and Timothy Stuckey; daughters, Patricia Furstenberg (Joe) and Jackie Stuckey; brothers, Oscar Stuckey and Talmadge Stuckey (Reva); sister, Emmie Douglass (Willie); grandchildren, Spencer Furstenberg (Jennie), Sarah Furstenberg (Greg Toth) and Jennine Midkiff (Josh) and great-grandchildren, Nichole Geary, Joshua Geary, Logan Geary and Mabrey Furstenberg. The family will receive friends from 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm Sunday, February 23, 2014 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24, 2014 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Stokes-Sutherland Funeral Home in Eastman, GA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 25, 2014 in the Stokes-Sutherland Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Dexter, GA.
