Mackie Olan Rowe

Mackie Olan Rowe, 59, of Middleburg, FL passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2008. Mr. Rowe was born the youngest of four children to Mackie and Nadine Rowe on January 26, 1949 in Ocilla, GA and was of the Pentecostal faith. He honorably served his nation in The United States Navy and was a Vietnam veteran. Mr. Rowe was an avid football fan and loved the Georgia Bulldogs and Jacksonville Jaguars. He also enjoyed fishing and going to the beach, but above all, he loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his sister Glenda. Survivors include: his beloved wife of forty years, Deborah Rowe; two children: Jody Olan Rowe (Tina) and Tammy Fayrene Rowe; one brother, Joseph Hayward Rowe (Diane); one sister, Betty Brantley (Harvey); and eight grandchildren: Debbie, Mikey, Joshua, Justin, Jacob, Destony, Buddy, and Brittany. The family will receive friends at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home on Sunday, July 13, 2008 from 3:00 until 5:00 pm. Funeral services will be held in the Broadus-Raines Chapel on Monday, July 14, 2008 at 11:00 am officiated by Ken Dodson. Interment with military honors will follow in Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery.
