Jessie Charlene Fields

Jessie Charlene Fields, age 90, of Green Cove Springs, Florida, passed away on March 23, 2014 while visiting her son Wayne and his family in Mayflower, Arkansas. A visitation will be held on Friday March 28, 2014 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Little Ruth Old Regular Baptist Church. Elder Richard Lowe, Elder Doug McCarty and Elder Terry Fullerof Little Ruth Old Regular Baptist Church will be officiating. Burial will follow the funeral at The Little Ruth Cemetery. Charlene was born in Dickenson County, Virginia on January 24, 1924. She graduated from Grundy High School, in Grundy, Virginia. She was married to Alfred Price Fields on March 5, 1946 they were married 62 years and had 2 children, Michael Wayne Fields and Gary Dennis Fields. She is survived by her son Michael Wayne Fields daughter-in-law Donna Fields, daughter-in-law Janice Fields, grandchildren Dennis Fields, Michael E. Fields, Amanda Fields Raup, Daniel Fields and Jessica Fields Guerra , 13 great grandchildren, 2 sisters and 4 brothers plus many other friends and family Charlene is preceded in death by her husband Alfred P Fields, son Gary Fields, father King S. Mullin, mother Lucy Jane Mullins and sister Lorene Gay Mullins. Charlene loved to garden, travel and fish. She was also very active in the Little Ruth Church and enjoyed visiting many other Old Regular Baptist churches in both Florida and Virginia. During the last 5 years she traveled from Florida to Alaska and from the coast of Maine to the California Pacific Coast Highway.
