Robert "Bob" Gabbert

Robert “Bob” Gabbert passed away April 12, 2014 in Moosehaven Chancellors II Hall at the age of 84. He was born to William and Daisy Gabbert on July 31, 1929 in Clarksburg, West Virginia. Bob married Rita Cruse on July 16, 1954 in Columbus, Ohio. They had three sons, Larry, Robert, Jr. and Keith. He worked as a salesman for the Jones Freight Company. Bob became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose on January 23, 1980 when he joined the Columbus, Ohio Lodge #11. He received his Fellowship Degree of Honor in June 1989 and a member of the 25 club sponsoring 71 members in his lifetime. He came to Moosehaven with wife, Rita on July 17, 2007 where he resided for almost 7 years. Services held Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 10:00 am at the Douglas Nault Funeral Home Columbus, OH followed by burial in the Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, OH. He is survived by his wife, Rita Gabbert, resident of Moosehaven, Orange Park, Florida and sons Robert Gabbert, Jr. of Gahanna, Ohio, Larry (Robin) Gabbert of Bluffton, South Carolina and Keith (Douglas) Gabbert of Estill, South Carolina; 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
