Alexander (Alex) K. Trane

Alexander K. Trane, (Alex) 24, of Fleming Island, FL, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2008. He was born on September 22, 1983 in Goshen, NY to parents, Gerald and Shirley Trane. He was a graduate of Clay High School in Green Cove Springs, FL and was a student at Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL. He was due to graduate on September 5, 2008 and planned to work as a special effects artist. Alex was a member of St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church on Fleming Island and will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gerald H. Trane, Jr. and is survived by his parents, Gerald and Shirley Trane; sisters, Paige Hopkins (Win) and Lynn Trane-Smith (Sidney); nieces and nephews, Ashlynn and Sidney Smith IV, Gate and Grier Hopkins; grandmothers, Mabel G. Kennedy and Rosemary H. Trane as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and especially his beloved Amy Oglesby. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Friday, July 25, 2008 at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church with Fr. Ken Herzog officiating and a reception to follow in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alex Trane Memorial Fund at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church, 6865 Pine Ave., Fleming Island, FL 32003.
