Michael J. Roach

Command Master Chief Michael J. Roach, USN (ret.) 70, of Jacksonville, FL passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2014. He was born on October 18, 1943 in Bangor, ME to parents ,Maurice and Gertrude Mchale Roach. Michael was of the Catholic faith, and moved to the Jacksonville from Pax River, MD in 1990. He served his country honorably for 30 years, retiring from the United States Navy. Michael cherished time spent with his family and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, James Edward Roach and Richard Donald Roach. Mr. Roach is survived by his wife, Joyce A. Roach; son, Michael John Roach, Jr.; daughter, Michele Joan Roach; brothers, Joseph Anthony Roach and George Francis Roach; sisters, June Suesser, Mary Ellen Volz, Winifred Collins and Sandra Ann Roach and four grandchildren, Graveside services with inurnment will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery with military honors conferred at a later date.
