Alan Chicago Petersen

Alan “Chicago” Petersen, 58, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Sunday, July 27, 2008. Mr. Petersen was born on August 17, 1949 in Minneapolis, MN and honorably served his nation in The United States Navy and served two tours in Vietnam. Later he began a career as a truck driver and worked for Weltzbarker Trucking. Mr. Petersen is survived by his wife, Virginia “Marilou” Petersen; daughter, Kelly Wortman; step-daughter, Marida (Kevin) Lewis; two brothers: Stephen and Berry Petersen; one sister, Heidi; and five grandchildren: Kacy, Branden, Justina, Dillan, and Michelle “Nay Nay.” Memorial services with military honors will be held in the chapel of Broadus-Raines Funeral Home on Thursday, July 31, 2008 at 6:00 pm.
