Mary W. Somers, 87, formerly of Stevens Point, WI died May 16, 2014 at Penney Farms, FL. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on May 31, 2014 at Penney Memorial Church in Penney Farms, FL with Father Donal Sullivan officiating. Mrs. Somers was born on March 12, 1927 in the Village of Whitefish Bay, Milwaukee County, WI. Her parents, Wesley B. and Edna (Schroeder) Walker, her daughter, Kathleen and a sister, Nancy Neuman, preceded her in death. Mrs. Somers was married on September 3, 1950 to the late Robert L. Jester. They were later divorced. Her marriage to Benjamin F. Somers took place on June 30, 1973. Mr. Somers preceded her in death on June 30, 1999. She is survived by a son, Christopher (Denise) Jester, Miami, FL; daughter, Cynthia (Gerald) Boechler, Fleming Island, FL; step-daughter, Susan (Jon Sanden) Somers, Bonita Springs, FL; step-son, Benjamin Somers, Stevens Pt, WI; grandsons, Guy Jester, Thorvald (Christa) Sanden, Jess Sanden, Christopher Jester, Eric Sanden and Michael (Anna Gray) Boechler; and a sister Betty Blackman.
