Edward Andrew Kilner, 81, of Fleming Island Florida passed away Friday, May 23, 2014.
Ed was born on June 23, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio to parents Joseph Charles and Martha Kilner.
At 17 years of age, Ed enlisted in the United States Army and was assigned to Company M of the 38th Infantry Regiment during the Korean War. Ed was severely injured in this arduous conflict and lost many close friends.
The Family especially appreciates the support of Doyle Parman, one of his surviving comrades, whose weekly calls lifted his spirit. Ed was awarded two purple hearts, the Combat Infantry badge and a Bronze Star.

Later, Ed went back into Automotive Sales and Management in Green Cove Springs, Florida.
His mantra in the business was “Any job worth doing is a job worth doing right.” Ed was of the Catholic faith and a man of integrity, generosity and kind spirit. His sense of humor will not easily be forgotten. Ed will be missed manicuring his perfect lawn and sharing all of his stories from a life well lived.
