John Esposito, 76, of Orange Park, FL, passed away Friday, August 8, 2008. He was born on December 7, 1931 in Jamaica, NY to parents, Elmer and Rita Esposito. He was a retired electrical engineer and was of the Catholic faith. John loved the New York Yankees, the New York Giants, loved doing crossword puzzles and was a great handyman around the house. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Barbara Esposito; children, Daniel Esposito, John Bilney, Ellen Bilney, Laura Brooks, Joanne Byrne and Barbara’s children, Nick Scheraldi and Barbara Martin; sisters, Dolly Grasso and Linda Valentino as well as grandchildren, Lauren and Sean Esposito, Daniel, Tyler and Riley Brooks. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday, August 11, 2008 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:30 pm in the funeral home chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church with Father James R. Boddie, Jr. as Celebrant.
