Stanley Randall Hunter, 65, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away on June 8, 2014. He was born on November 5, 1948 in Jacksonville, FL to parents Earl and Gertrude Mary (Masters) Hunter. Stanley was a lifelong resident of Florida. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran and a member of Fruit Cove Baptist Church. Stanley retired as a Train Conductor from CSX. He was an avid huntsman who loved hunting with his friends in Luray, SC. He loved serving his country but his true calling was being a solider for Christ. Stanley loved time spent with his children, family and his church family and will be greatly missed by all who loved him. He was predeceased by his parents and is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, June Hunter; son, Scott R. Hunter; daughter, Shelli R. Hunter; brother, Herman E. Hunter (Pat). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 10:30 am at Fruit Cove Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Ragland Officiating. A committal service will be held at a later date at Jacksonville National Cemetery with military honors.
