Frank Kenneth Wimpee, 64, of Middleburg, FL passed away June 9, 2014. He was born on October 13, 1949 in Jacksonville, FL to parents Guy Frank Wimpee and Verdie (McCullough) Wimpee. Frank graduated from Wolfson High School in 1967. He then served his country honorably in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Vet. Frank flew right seat in the OV-1 Mohawk Recon Planes and was a member of OV-1 Mohawk Assoc. Mr. Wimpee had retired from the Jacksonville Fire & Rescue Dept. following 23 years of service and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Firefighters. He had lived on Black Creek in Middleburg since 1982 and was Baptist by faith. Mr. Wimpee was predeceased by his mother and a brother, William “Bill” Wimpee and is survived by his wife of 32 years, Janice Wimpee; father, Guy (Betty) Wimpee; step-sons, Tony and Ben Williams; sister, Joan (Scott) McClelland; sister-in-law, Lily (Roy) McLaughlin; granddaughter, Olivia Williams.
