David L. McClain, Sr.

David L. McClain, Sr., 65, of Florahome, FL, passed away Monday, August 11, 2008. He was born on March 3, 1943 in Kissimmee, FL to parents, Lawson and Juanita McClain. He was a fire sprinkler pipe fitter and was a Vietnam War Veteran, serving his country in the United States Army and the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the V.F.W. and enjoyed fishing and camping. David will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a son, David L. McClain, Jr. Survivors include his son, Bryan James (Michelle Lynn) McClain; sisters, June McClain (Ferrell) Hall, Janice McClain (Mitchell) Ownby and Juanita McClain (Jim) Comer; grandchildren, Linda, Kimberly, Jessica, Christopher, Brett, Jonathan and Mikaylah McClain. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, August 15, 2008 at Gadara Baptist Church, 6779 CR 315C, Keystone Heights, FL 32656. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 16, 2008 at Gadara Baptist Church with Pastor Jason Nettles officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Gadara Cemetery.
