Beverly Ann Dietz-Fahey, born January 28, 1942, entered eternal rest on June 13, 2014. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Clyde and Geraldine Starkey, Beverly attended South Hills High School. Beverly married Thomas Arthur Dietz (deceased) in 1960 and moved to Coral Gables to raise her children. Beverly served as the administrative assistant to the Monsignor and was actively involved in The Church of the Little Flower. Beverly was also involved in the opening of the Burdines MayFair Store. It was there that she opened her first restaurant-The Paradise Café. She also became very successful as a caterer. In 1992, Beverly moved to Jacksonville, Florida. While in Jacksonville, she had two very successful restaurants- The Tasteful Café and Anne Marie’s. Beverly met and married Christopher R. Fahey in 1994. While in Jacksonville, Beverly found many activities she enjoyed, such as Luminaria. She also enjoyed traveling, especially to the wine country of California, as well as many countries in Europe. Beverly is survived by her devoted husband Christopher R. Fahey, her brother Rodney Starkey, and her four children, Jeffrey Thomas Dietz, his wife Shelley, and their children Thomas Jeffrey Dietz and Rileigh Merritt-Dietz; Jennifer Dietz-McLaughlin, her husband John, and their daughter Olivia McLaughlin, Jacqueline Dietz, and Joan Dietz. She was very happy with the care she received by her companion and caregiver Jennifer Landis. Beverly was a woman of great vibrancy and love. She never knew a stranger and would open her home to all. Most of all, Beverly was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her kindness and compassion will be dearly missed. Services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, June 23, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 7190 Hwy. 17, Fleming Island, FL 32003.
