Albert F. Barrett, 78, of Orange Park, FL, passed away Friday, August 15, 2008. He was born on February 6, 1930 in Ossining, NY to parents, Albert and Adeline Barrett. He worked as a successful fashion photographer in New York City for 50 years. He was a Korean War Veteran, serving our country in the United States Navy. Mr. Barrett loved football and the New York Giants and was in their kickoff club. He enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution as well as Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Carol A. Barrett; children, Pamela Tarpey, Patrick Barrett, Kim Flanagan, Debbie Garcia and Robert Barrett and 9 grandchildren. A Prayer Service will be held at 6:00 pm Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Fleming Island. Visitation will follow in the church until 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Donal Sullivan as Celebrant. Military honors will be conferred at the service.
