Ann McBride, 92, of Jacksonville/Orange Park, FL, passed away June 18, 2014. She was born on May 26, 1922 in Shropshire, England to parents Clifton and Ada Humphreys Walker. Mrs. McBride had served in the British Women’s Land Army during World War II and was a member of the Daughters of the British Empire. She was a member of the Church of England and enjoyed knitting, crafts and was very artistic. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Victor McBride; children, James Clifton McBride, Charles Peter McBride and Richard Fred McBride. Survivors include her daughter, Rosanna Housend; grandchildren, Pete and Eric Housend, Theresa Kane and James, Sean and Alan McBride and great-grandchildren, Zackary, Samantha and Kasey Housend, William and Lily Kane and Alyssa and Kahlby McBride. Graveside services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Springbank Cemetery with Dr. Johnny Thomas officiating.
