Bonnie Faye Lumpkin

Bonnie Faye Lumpkin, 80, of Hawthorne, FL, passed away July 7, 2014. She was born on July 27, 1933 in Washington County, GA to parents Tommy and Mary Lizzie Page Glisson. Mrs. Lumpkin was a lifelong resident of Green Cove Springs and a member of Decoy Baptist Church. She loved watching soap operas, cooking, baking and she especially loved her grandkids. Mrs. Lumpkin was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, William Fred Lumpkin in 1998 and her sons, Donald Fred Lumpkin in 1995 and Michael Eugene Lumpkin in 2005. Survivors include her daughters, Mary Jane Kirkland (Shawn), Glenda Faye Bennett (Larry) and Barbara Kay Layfield (James); brother, Tommy Glisson (Karen); sisters, Geraldine Oxendine, Willene Glisson and Ann Griffin; special friend, Gertrude; 16 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, July 9, 2014 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Surrency officiating. The family will receive friends in the chapel one hour prior to service time.
