R.D. Crockett

R. D. Crockett, 80, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Monday, October 23, 2006. Born on March 19, 1926 to parents Charlie and Carrie Crockett, in Green Cove Springs, he had been a life long resident of the area. Of the Baptist faith, he was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and worked as a maintenance engineer for the Burlington Factory and for Clay Memorial Hospital. Fishing, roller skating, and gardening were some of his favorite pastimes, but above all, his family brought him the greatest joy. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patsy Crockett; three daughters, Barbara Crockett and Patricia Mosley, both of Green Cove Springs, and Linda Green of Jacksonville; one brother, Richard Crockett of Green Cove Springs; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends in the chapel of Broadus-Raines Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 from 6:00 until 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Broadus-Raines Funeral Home on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 2:00 pm with Reverend Charlie Hunt officiating.
