Philip "Ray" Raymond Kinsinger

August 27, 1936 — July 3, 2014

Philip Raymond (Ray) Kinsinger, 77, devoted husband of 57 years and loving father/grandfather passed away with his family by his side July 3rd, 2014. He was born August 27, 1936 in Erie, Pennsylvania. Ray served his country honorably in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Before being deployed, he met his loving wife, Kibby, and moved to Orange Park. Together, they founded Kibby and Raymond’s Beauty Salon, operating for 45 years. Ray was a sports fanatic, passionate golfer and angler. As a boy, he was caddy to a professional golfer at Kahkwa Country Club. It was this childhood experience that solidified his need to succeed. He continued that passion throughout his life, challenging golf partners and competing in many tournaments. When not on the golf course, he was fishing with family. His outdoor passions have been passed along to his children and grandchildren. He was devoted to his family, loved being with friends, always had a smile and never met a stranger. He was known for his keen sense of humor and witty one-liners. His passion for life was reiterated in his expression, “It’s a quick trip, enjoy every minute.” His wish was to thank everyone who made his trip so joyful. As a family, they were members of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church and life members of Loyal Order of Moose. He predeceased in death by parents Robert and Annabell Kinsinger, brothers Robert Jr., Kenny, Tom, Sidney and sister Susie. Ray is survived by his loving wife Francoise (Kibby) Kinsinger, daughter Kimberle Beckett (Clark), son Philip Raymond Kinsinger, Jr., Aaron and Sam Beckett, to whom he will always be known as Mr. K., and grandchildren Cooper and Kristi Beckett. The Kinsinger family invites friends to a Celebration of Life on Monday, July 21, 2014 at 11am in the Broadus-Raines Chapel, 501 Spring Street, Green Cove Springs, FL. Interment will follow at 2:30 pm in the Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL with military honors.
