James Michael Griffin

James Michael “J.J.” Griffin, 23, of Middleburg, FL, passed away Monday, August 25, 2008. He was born on July 29, 1985 in Jacksonville, FL. J.J. loved Mustang cars and was into tattooing. He had a big heart and dearly loved his family and friends as well as being loved by all who knew him. He will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ray Compton and is survived by his father, James Gregory (Tanya) Griffin; mother, Jennifer (William Wolcott) Cothran; brothers, Justin and Bryan Griffin and Wesley Cothran; grandparents, Faye Compton and Jimmy and Lee Griffin; several aunts, uncles, cousins, many, many friends as well as his beloved dog, Roscoe. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, August 29, 2008 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 30, 2008 at Black Pond Baptist Church with Reverend Charlie Hunt officiating.
