Ceasar P. diMonda, 78, of Fleming Island, FL, passed away August 4, 2014. He was born on February 17, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY to parents Philip and Lillian Alvino diMonda. Mr. diMonda was a Korean War Veteran, serving his country in the United States Army. He worked as a paramedic for the Nassau County Police Dept., Long Island, NY and was a volunteer Captain for the NMFD for 27 years. Mr. diMonda had lived in the local area since 2005, moving here from Chesapeake, VA. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was a Third Degree Knights of Columbus. Mr. diMonda enjoyed reading, watching the History Channel and was an avid Civil War buff. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Joyce diMonda; son, Raymond diMonda (Kathy) of Fleming Island, FL; daughter, Susan Stemple of Virginia Beach, VA; brother, Philip diMonda of Wantagh, NY; sister, Virginia McCauley of North Merrick, NY and grandchildren, Phillip Teetor, Rachel diMonda, Kathleen Stemple, Bridgette diMonda and Jacqueline Stemple. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 7190 Hwy. 17, South, Fleming Island with Fr. Donal Sullivan as Celebrant. The family will receive friends for visitation in the church from 10:00 am until service time. Military honors will be conferred at the service.
