Gifford Neill Rhodes

Gifford Neill Rhodes, 85, of Orange Park, FL passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2008. He was born to Lucian Neill and Lillie May Rhodes on February 6, 1923 in Jacksonville, FL and had been a lifelong resident of the area. Mr. Rhodes honorably served his nation in The United States Army Air Force. Later, he graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s of Science in Agricultural and Animal Husbandry and worked as a supervisor for the Department of Agriculture. He adored his grandchildren and is remembered as being the most honest man. He is survived by his treasured wife and best friend of sixty years, Marie G. Rhodes; two daughters, Vicki L. Rhodes, M.D., Julie R. (Bruce) Chase; and five beloved grandchildren: Jillian, Lauren, Megan, Taylor, and Kristen. Please sign the family's online guestbook at www.broadusraines.com.
