Eleanor Elease Mocas, 80, of Fleming Island, FL passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2014. She was born on September 24, 1933 to parents Laury and Nealy (Johns) Carter in Starke, FL. She has been a resident of Fleming Island for over 40 years coming from Fort Caroline Club Est. in Jacksonville, FL. Elease loved working in her yard and with her flowers. She enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking meals for them. She was of the Baptist faith and will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her loving husband of 60 years Dale Mocas; sons: Mark B. Mocas and Kirk R. Mocas; daughter, Tonya L. Mocas; brothers, Lamar Carter and his wife Marie and Charles Carter and his wife Becky; three grandchildren, Kris, Zachary and Jeremy. A memorial service will be on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 12:00 noon with Dr. Tim McDaniel officiating. The family will have a private inurnment at Jacksonville National Cemetery at a later date.
