Robert "Bob" Moody

Robert "Bob" Moody, 78, passed away on September 12, 2014, at Haven Hospice Orange Park, FL surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Marion, Michigan, to Lyle and Mildred Moody. He served in the United States Navy for 20 years then retired from Vought Corporation after 18 years. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Bob was an active member of the Clay County Shrine Club for many years, serving as a member of the Klay Kats parade unit and transporting children and their families to doctor appointments. He and his wife of 59 years, Joyce, set a loving example to us all of a loving marriage and as the best parents and grandparents ever. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert "Robbie" Moody, parents, Mildred and Lyle Moody, and his brothers Roy, Don and Wayne Moody. He is survived by his wife, Joyce McWilliams Moody, daughters Lisa Neff (Jeff) and Karen Buller, daughter-in-law Nancy Moody, sisters Cleo Willard, Linda Collins and Sharon Juarez, 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. A memorial service will be held at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home in Green Cove Springs, FL, on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 11:00 am with visitation at 10:00 am. A private burial at Jacksonville National Cemetery will be at a later date. Those who wish may make memorials to Haven Hospice, Orange Park, or Shriner's Orthopedic Hospital, Tampa, FL.
