Ron Watters

Ron Watters, 48, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away September 16, 2014. He was born on January 22, 1966 in Galesburg, IL. Ron served his country honorably in the United States Navy and was active during the Libyan Conflict. He worked as a Sergeant at the Florida State Prison and was a member of Hibernia Baptist Church on Fleming Island. Ron loved working with children and was a Cubmaster with the Boy Scouts of America. Survivors include his father, Duane Watters (Bonnie); mother, Donna Wheatley (Miles); wife, Yvette Watters; son, Jesse Watters; daughters, Courtney and Kaylee Watters; brothers, Roger Watters, Mark and Bobby Boughton and sisters, Mary Swanberg Wendy Hardestee and Tifaney Burne and Dawn Blaeuer. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Christ’s Church, 5900 US 17 South, Fleming Island, FL. Another memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm Friday, September 19, 2014 at Hibernia Baptist Church, 7100 US 17, Fleming Island, FL with fellowship following the service. Ron will be eternalized at his final resting place at Jacksonville National Cemetery at a later date.
