Lewis H. Rogers

Rogers, Lewis H., age 67, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Sept. 27, 2008. Mr. Rogers left behind his wife of 44 years, Annette (Miley) Rogers; 1 daughter, Lisa (Rogers) Dahlinger; 3 sons, Michael, David, and Shelby; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind 2 sisters, Margie Vassie and Mary Burke. Mr. Rogers was a lifetime resident of Florida, most of it in Duval and Clay Counties. He retired from The United States Navy in 1980, after 20 years of service to our country. He then went into sales and merchandising. Mr. Rogers was a devoted Christian, whose passion was the children’s ministry, in which he was involved. He also served as a deacon and usher. The funeral service will be at the First Baptist Church of Middleburg at 11:00 am on Wed., Oct. 1, 2008 officiated by Dr. C. Alan Floyd and Rev. Bill Horne. Viewing will be at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home on Tues, Sept. 30 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.
