Nancy Emma Overstreet Closs

Nancy Emma Overstreet Closs, 99, passed away September 29, 2008 at the Life Care Center of Orange Park, FL. Nancy was born October 29, 1908 in Chiefland, FL to Joseph and Sophronia Overstreet. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Green Cove Springs, FL for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Christian Ludwig Closs; her father, Joseph Allen Overstreet; her mother, Sophronia Emma Hayes Overstreet; her brother, Staten Chauncey Overstreet and her son, Howard Joseph Overstreet Closs. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Marguerite Closs; her grandson, Holden Joseph Closs; her grandson, Howard Joshua Closs and his wife, Ann Casey Closs; and three great-grandchildren, Hannah Caroline Closs, Benjamin Holden Closs and Adam Casey Closs. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, October 2, 2008 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Pastor Sam Castaño officiating. The family will receive friends in the chapel Thursday from 10:00 am until service time. Graveside services will begin at 3:00 pm Thursday at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery, Chiefland, FL.
