Helen Hawkins

Helen Hawkins, 77, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away October 6, 2014. She was born on March 6, 1937 in Cincinnati, OH to parents, James and Sarah Henderson Dixon. Mrs. Hawkins had worked in the milking department of Gustafson’s Dairy and enjoyed playing bingo, reading and buying Cash 3 lotto tickets. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Eugene Hawkins. Survivors include her children, Billy Joe Dixon, Deborah Miller (John), Jackie Moore (Leon), Jimmy Hinkle, Charles Hinkle, Arthur Hinkle, Mary Frances Hinkle, Ricky Hinkle (Anita) and Tammy Hawkins; brother, Walt Dixon; sisters, Mary Plumlee, Paula Jacobs, Betty Campbell and Barbara Jean; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday, October 9, 2014 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, October 10, 2014 at Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. Ronnie Surrency officiating. Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
