Larry Phillips

Larry Phillips, 71, of Palatka, FL, passed away October 7, 2014. He was born on June 8, 1943 in Upland, CA to parents Walter and Marguerite Smith Phillips. Mr. Phillips had been the owner of Orange Park Paint and Body Shop and Larry’s Automotive. He worked as a paint and body man for Garber in Green Cove Springs as well as various other paint and body shops in Jacksonville. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, doing crossword puzzles and sitting on his porch overlooking the river. He is survived by his wife, Gail Phillips; children, Dean Phillips (La Rue), Randy Phillips (Scarlett), Brian Phillips, James Edwards (Anne), Lori Phillips (Tony) and John Edwards (Charlene); brother, Kenny Phillips (Lynne) and grandchildren, Ramsy Phillips, Hunter Phillips, Leah Edwards and Evan Edwards. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, October 13, 2014 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Rev. Charlie Hunt officiating.
