Phyllis Jean Pugh

Phyllis passed away November 1, 2014 in the Moosehaven Life Care Center at the age of 87. She was born to Fred and Hannah Lasseter on October 10, 1927 in Laramie, Wyoming. Phyllis married Mr. Harvey Pier on December 22, 1946. She later married Donald Pugh on May 27, 1961. He preceded her in death on November 13, 1987. She had three daughters Sandra, Regenia, Teena and two sons Robert and Fred. She owned and operated Pugh Trash Removal which she sold in 1999. Phyllis also worked as a cook for 15 years at the University of Wyoming Student Union. Phyllis became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose on March 2, 1988 when she joined Laramie, Wyoming Chapter #423. She received her Academy of Friendship Degree on January 19, 1997 and her College of Regent Degree on June 19, 2005. She came to Moosehaven on March 28, 2006 where she has resided for 8 years. Phyllis was very active on campus. She loved gardening, decorating for Holidays and making Angel Pins for Opportunity Chapter. Memorial Services conducted by Rev. Helen Taylor and Officers of Opportunity Chapter on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 9:30am at the Moosehaven Chapel. There will be a Family Memorial Service at a later date in Laramie, Wyoming and laid to rest in Greenhill Cemetery. Phyllis was preceded in death by both of her parents, sister, son, one grandchild and 3 great grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Sandra Lubbers and Regenia Ochoa of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Robert Pier and wife Barbara of Laramie Wyoming and Teena Casey of Montana, along with 12 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 8 great, great grandchildren and hundreds of her Moose family.
