Lisa Ann Bentley

Lisa Ann Bentley, 63, a lifelong resident of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida. Lisa was the oldest daughter of five children born to parents Herbert “Tody” Howard Bentley, Sr. and Mildred Marie (Falana) Bentley and was born on January 16, 1951 in Green Cove Springs, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by three brothers, Herbert Howard Bentley, Jr., Alvin Leslie Bentley (Nancy) and Francis Lee Bentley and one sister, Alma Marie Bentley-Kendall. Lisa is also survived by several nieces, Jess Kendall, Kathy Sutton (Ray), Shannon Moore (Shawn) and Melissa Hanson. In addition, she is survived by many grand nephews and nieces including Tim, Justin, Matthew and Jacob Sutton, Zachary and Dylan Moore, Celeste, Lane and Cole Hanson and her beloved pet Yorkie, Bailey. Lisa worked at the Bank of Green Cove Springs for approximately 20 years in various capacities until 1989 when she began a 25 year career of service at Penney Retirement Community, presently serving as Human Resources Coordinator. She was a dedicated and loved member of Penney Retirement Community by both her coworkers and the many residents of the community. She was regarded as an employee who was always willing to help anyone at any time. Lisa was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church and had a great love for the gospel and enjoyed reading her daily devotionals as well as cooking, sewing and watching movies. She will be deeply missed by her family, coworkers and friends. A memorial service to celebrate her memory will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Switzerland Cemetery on State Road 13.
