J.B. Thomas

J.B. Thomas, 90, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2008. He was born on February 8, 1918 in Belmore, FL to parents, Lacy and Minnie Thomas. He was a Word War II Veteran, serving his country in the United States Army and retired from the Clay County Road Department as a Supervisor after 41 years of service. He loved gardening and fishing and will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Anna Thomas; children, Caron Faye Doan (Tom), Beverly Ann Costea, James Allen Fautt (Patricia), Sarah Carla Lyon (Parker) and Julie Ann Shutters (Michael); grandchildren, Thomas Christopher Doan (Jessica), Cassandra Yvonne Sequina, Stacy Alan Sharp (Robin), Melissa Alexandria Thomas, Lawson Lyon, Amanda Lyon, Alec Shutters, Madison Shutters and James Allen Fautt, Jr. and 7 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, November 2, 2008 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Tom Doan officiating. Interment will follow in Penney Farms Cemetery.
