Charlie Bunn

Charlie Bunn, 69, passed away after his short and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on Thursday October 30, 2008 at 7:30 P.M. in the Community Hospice Hadlow House in Jacksonville, Florida. Charlie was born to Charles and Catherine Bunn on May 13,1939 in Philadelphia, PA. He graduated from John Bartram High School and served in the 4th Marine Corps Reserve and Recruitment District. Charlie and Betty were married on November 29, 1987 in New Jersey. Charlie became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose on May 15, 1981 when he joined Delran, New Jersey Lodge 279. In 1992 he moved to Florida and transferred to the New Port Richey, Florida Lodge 1747 and joined Orange Blossom Moose Legion #125 on September 18, 1983. Charlie was very active in the Fraternity and so proud to be a Moose. Just two years after joining the Moose, he became a member of the 25 Club. After 6 years of being a proud Moose, he obtained the Fellowship Degree of Honor on September 26, 1987. He became a Past Governor on May 1, 1990. On May 29, 1999 he was elevated to the Pilgrim Degree of Merit. Charlie and Betty moved to Moosehaven on June 20, 2007 where he resided for one year and four months. He is survived by his wife, Betty, also a Moosehaven resident, 3 sons, Randy Barbour and wife Cathy, granddaughters Sarah, Jennifer and Julia Barbour, Charles and Joseph Bunn and two daughters, Celia and Susan and several other grandchildren. He was predeceased by son, Rick Barbour in 1991. Also living in the south Jersey area are several siblings. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 3:00 PM in the Moosehaven Chapel conducted by Rev. Helen Taylor and honored with a Pilgrim Memorial.
