Melba Carter Williamson

Melba Carter Williamson, 85, of Middleburg, FL passed away December 11, 2014 following a lengthy illness. She was born on April 15, 1929 in Doctors Inlet, FL to parents Bryant and Selma Mae (Monroe) Carter and had lived in Clay County her entire life. She was a member of Black Pond Baptist Church in Middleburg and had been very active prior to her illness. She was predeceased by her parents and her beloved husband of over 50 years, Marvin F. “M.F.” Williamson, Jr. Survivors include her daughters, Rita (John) Settle and Laura Pringle; grandchildren, Kim (Amr) Hussein, Robert (Yuko) Settle and Racquel Settle; great-grandchildren, Faris Hussein, Junna, Jake and Eli Settle. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 15, 2014 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Black Pond Baptist Church, 3644 Old Jennings Road in Middleburg, FL. Reverend Charlie Hunt will officiate. Mrs. Williamson will be laid to rest next to her husband in Black Pond Cemetery.
