Richard S. Crockett

Richard S. Crockett, 84, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Saturday, November 8, 2008. He was born to Charles and Carrie Crockett on January 8, 1924 in Green Cove Springs, FL and had been a lifelong resident of the area. Mr. Crockett worked as a carpenter and retired from the construction industry. He had also worked as an industrial machine operator. His favorite hobby and pastime was fishing and running trot lines. Mr. Crockett was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruby and his brothers, Charles and R.D. Crockett. He is survived by his daughter, Theresa A. Crockett; brother-in-law, Hurley Miles; and two sisters-in-law, Patsy and Phoebe Crockett. Visitation will be held in the Broadus-Raines Chapel on Monday, November 10, 2008 from 9:00 until 11:00 am. Funeral services will be held at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church at 2:00 pm on Monday, officiated by Reverend Charlie Hunt. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
