Alice Grace “A.G.” Cavin, 86, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away at the Bailey Family Center for Caring Hospice on December 26, 2014 after a lengthy illness. She was born on December 29, 1927 in Middleburg, FL to parents Marvin and Grace Williamson and had lived in Clay County her entire life. She had been a bookkeeper for several of the car dealerships in the area and was a member of Black Pond Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Ed Cavin; son, Edwin Baxley; daughter, Madeliene Smith; brothers, H.C. Williamson and M.F. Williamson; and sister, L.V. Burris. Survivors include daughter, Lorraine Batten (Eddie); step-son, Eddie Cavin (Bonnie); ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home on Sunday, December 28, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 29, 2014 at Black Pond Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Hunt officiating. Mrs. Cavin will be buried in her family’s section of Black Pond Cemetery.
