James “Andy” Anderson, 81, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2008. He was born in Parrott, GA to parents, James and Mamie Anderson on July 22, 1927 and had been a resident of Clay County since 1982. Mr. Anderson was a First Class Petty Officer in the United States Navy serving during World War II between 1946 – 1966. He honorably retired after 21 years of service. He also worked at Methodist Hospital in Jacksonville for 13 years. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Agnes J. Anderson. He is survived by his sons, Jerome Anderson and James Oliver Anderson; stepson, James R. Elgin; stepdaughters, Deborah Carter and Meg Smith; sisters, Faye Wills, Verna Wall, and Winona Keen; 31 grandchildren; and various stepsons and stepdaughters and many many friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, December 1, 2008 at the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at 11:00 am in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with _______________ officiating. Interment will follow in Arlington Park Cemetery.
